Max Test

I was feeling in top form today, so I decided to do a max test.

First, I attempted 82.5kg on the bench press but failed. Even with 80kg, my hips lifted slightly off the bench, so it's debatable whether that counts as my max. Ideally, I'd be able to arch my chest, but I can barely hold a low bridge for a few seconds, so it's tough.

For the Smith machine squats, I tried 60kg after doing 30kg, but I didn't feel like I could lift it. However, I successfully lifted 50kg, 55kg, and 57.5kg afterward, so 60kg doesn't seem too far off. The 57.5kg rep was dangerous because I almost fainted. Since I've only just started training squats, I hope to see rapid progress. For now, I'll aim for 80kg and keep pushing forward.

My max for the front pull-down was 85kg.

For strict dumbbell curls, my max was 15kg on the left and 12.5kg on the right.

My max for the dumbbell shoulder press was 17.5kg.

My max for the cable press-down was 60kg. However, I felt like I could have gone for 70kg if I’d had more energy.

I was at the gym for just under two hours that day. I felt like I could have stayed much longer, but I called it a day because I had to go to work.
